Regeneration

How do we involve the community?

We have involved the community in a variety of ways including forming groups in part of the Borough on particular issues specific to them; holding master planning workshops for representatives from community groups, the business community and young people; and displaying information at the Castle Point Show.  Community engagement is very important to us and will evolve over time - ideas and suggestions for future events are invited.

What is the Partnership doing to promote regeneration in Castle Point?

The Partnership is currently developing a Regeneration Framework, a plan which defines the borough's characteristics and sets out the challenges and opportunities which shape and influence the activities required to achieve a healthy, prosperous, dynamic and sustainable local communities.

Having 'set the scene' the next stage will be to draw up an Action Plan, a programme setting out the priorities, work which will need to be undertaken and the targets against which success will be measured.

It is anticipated that the Regeneration Framework and Action Plan will be adopted by the end of 2007 and published on this site.
