Street Trading

 Street Trading is defined as the selling or offering for the sale of any article in the street. The term "street" includes footways, car parks, public lease forecourts and generally any area where the public have access without payment. This includes food such as burgers, kebabs, and donuts or other things such as household items.

All of the streets in Castle Point are designated as Consent Streets. This means that any persons who wish to sell items from a trailer or stall in a street must first obtain a Street Trading Consent from the Castle Point Borough Council Licensing Department.
 
Fees
 £20.00 Short term Consent (up to a seven day block)
£450.00 Annual Consent for one day/night per week Subject to availability, applicants will be able to make a block booking for a consent trade on particular days/nights of the week over an annual period.
Annual Consent for more than one day/night per week - £450.00 plus £64.00 per additional day/night per week a Consent is required.

If hot food and/or drink is served after 11pm a Premises licence is also required please contact the Licensing Department on 01268 882416
