You will need to complete a vacation form on behalf of your parent(s).On the form you will need to specify a date on which you intend to return the keys to the Council Offices. Please note that full rent is payable until the keys are returned. When a copy of the death certificate is available please sent this in to your Housing Management Officer. You will need to clear the property with 4 weeks.

Can your mother/father complete a Tenancy Termination form?
If yes: A tenancy termination form will need to be completed by the tenant. The tenancy normally requires 4 full weeks notice from tenants but this is not required in these circumstances. However, the tenancy will need to end on a Sunday and the keys handed back into the Council Offices at Kiln Road no later than 10am the following Monday. Your mother/father is liable for the whole rent until the tenancy has been terminated.
