Core Strategy Examination in Public
Castle Point Borough Council submitted the Core Strategy to the Planning Inspectorate on 1st March 2010. The Core Strategy will be subject to Examination in Public conducted by an Independent Planning Insepctor. Mr Paul Crysell BSC MSC MRTPI has been appointed to conduct an examination into the soundness of the document, and Andrea Copsey will serve as the Programme Officer. Details of the Examination along with the documents that have been submitted can be found on this page which will be regularly updated as the Examination progresses.
Hearing Sessions
These are programmed to commence on Tuesday 22nd June 2010. These will take place in the Council Chamber at the Council Offices, Kiln Road, Benfleet, SS7 1TF.

Matters and Issues
Please find below the third version of the Inspectors Matters and Issues paper providing an update of those confirmed or likely to be attending the hearing sessions for the Core Strategy Examination. A few adjustments have been made to some questions but no further changes will be made. Those who have yet to confirm their attendance on specific days of the hearing should do so by email or by leaving a telephone message with with Programme Officer.

The Pre-hearing Meeting
A Pre-hearing Meeting was held on the 11 May 2010 at the Council's Offices, the notes of which are available to download below. The Inspector has set a deadline for responses to participate no later than Monday 17 May 2010.
