CHRISTMAS CAROLS IN CASTLE POINT

Castle Point Mayor’s traditional Christmas Carol concert takes place this year on Sunday 14 December.

The event, which is the traditional beginning to festivities in the Borough takes place at The Salvation Army Hadleigh Temple ,London Road, Hadleigh.

No tickets are necessary and admission is free, however there will be a collection in aid of Cancer Research UK. Doors open at 7.30pm when coffee will be served and carols commence at 8pm. Parking is available in Morrisons car park.

Hadleigh Salvation Army Band and young voices from local schools will lead the singing at this popular Christmas event.

Mayor, Councillor Mrs Jackie Govier said: “This is a really lovely beginning to the festive season in Castle Point, bringing together people from all areas of the community and from all age ranges. Each year we raise a little extra it would be so nice if despite money being tight we could just go that extra step and top last year this is such a worthwhile cause”
