Call for Community Ideas
In March 2011, councils across Essex, invited.pdf [pdf] 16KB individuals, families and groups to submit ideas that could help improve their communities.
These ideas can include increasing the opportunities to get people involved in their communities, supporting neighbourhoods and improving the quality of life in the area.
We are also keen to hear about any bureaucratic barriers that get in the way of local people improving their communities.
Where we can, we will support ideas submitted by the community. Where these ideas require action from central government, we will champion them with ministers and government departments.
How to submit your ideas
We have produced a simple submission form (see below) for you to fill in to explain your idea and the impact it would have.
Please email your completed form to:
To submit your form by post, please send it to:
PO Box 11
How the ideas will be assessed?
To support these ideas, Essex councils need to ensure that any change is fair, democratic and achievable with existing resources.
With this in mind we have published a set of criteria.pdf [pdf] 39KB and a description of the process.pdf [pdf] 37KB we will follow in assessing your ideas. Please read them before submitting your form, which is available here.
Anyone who submits an idea will be kept updated on its progress
