Support for Vulnerable People – Essex Community Shield
The coronavirus pandemic is an uncertain time for many people. We understand that some people in Castle Point will have particular concerns, especially those who have been told in writing by the NHS that they are in an 'extremely vulnerable' group and must self-isolate.
There are also many other vulnerable people who live in the Borough and need to stay home at this time due to underlying health conditions, because they are aged over 70 or because they are pregnant.
Together with other councils and organisations, we are part of the Essex Community Shield. This scheme will bring volunteers together with the people most in need of help during these uncertain times, especially those who do not have the support of friends, family or neighbours.
If you need support, please contact either:
The Essex Welfare Service online – Essex Welfare Service or by phoning 0300 303 9988 (Monday to Friday, 8am – 7pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am – 2pm)
