Grants for community and voluntary organisations

There is a range of funding available to help groups and communities that have been affected by the pandemic. We have listed these below and links to more information:

The National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery offers small grants between £300 and £10,000 to voluntary and community groups to support people and communities impacted by COVID-19. You can find out more on The National Lottery Community Fund website.

 

Find Your Active Fund

The Find Your Active fund aims to help more people to be active. Funding can be used to start up new activities or to increase the number of people at existing ones. It can also cover fees for coaches, equipment, and venue hire.

Emotional Wellbeing: New Opportunities Fund

This fund is open to individuals or groups who need help kickstarting their ideas for projects that help people whose emotional wellbeing has been affected by COVID-19. Small grants of £100 to £5,000 are be available. To find out more please visit the Essex County Council website.  

 

Essex Council for Voluntary Youth Services (ECVYS) Remobilisation Micro Grants

These grants of up to £500 aim to support small, local, not-for-profit voluntary children’s and youth groups/clubs. The grant can cover Covid-19 costs of reopening these clubs safely, such as hygiene costs. This might be PPE and plexiglass screens, or subs money for families that may struggle with payment. Funding support for sports and activity clubs

Sport England Return to Play Fund

Sport England has opened a Return to Play Fund to help a safe return to play and narrowing the inequalities gap in sport and physical activity.
