We have brand new classes in The Fort! These classes are different to anything on our current programme and will help you smash your health and fitness goals.
FORT STRONG - This is unlike anything we have ever done before. This has a focus on physical strength and maximal efforts. You will push and pull sledges, lift and throw atlas stones and farmers walk your way to a new level of strength
FORT FIT - If you’re looking to take your fitness and strength to the next level - FORT FIT is the class for you! This is a super intense class that focuses on the use of functional moves with explosive high repetition.
FORT STRIKE - A new style class that is focused on getting fitter and stronger through boxing and combat training and drills. This class will range from hitting the boxing bag to working to your max on the assault bikes. You will dramatically improve fitness taking part in this class.
LIFTING WORKSHOP - Our lifting workshops are a great to help learn compounds lifts like dead lifts, squat press, lunges, bench press, squats etc. The workshop will help you improve and master your lifting technique, this is also a great start to learn the types of lifts we do in our FORT classes.
FORT FIT INSPIRE - Inspired by our Fort Fit class but for those aged 11 to 15. Learn how to lift weights with correct form whilst getting a proper workout in and have fun with our instructors at the same time!
Spin - Spinning is a great way to improve your fitness through indoor cycling. Disco lights, great tunes and our motivating trainers will help you results fast!
Spin Coach by Colour - Challenge your fitness with the most advanced spin bikes in the world! Ride to great beats and the 5 colour zones to get the full effects of Spin. We host monthly FTP tests to find your fitness levels, with this no matter your fitness level you have a great session.
Spin CONNECT - Have an amazing workout and challenge your fitness with team battles and individual goals. You will lose yourself in this amazing workout with virtual tours. We guarantee you will improve your fitness with this class!
Box-Fit - Classic boxing using focus pads, punching bags and jumping ropes. Punch your way to great fitness levels doing intense enjoyable routines.
Combat - Combine moves and stances from a range of self defence disciplines like karate, boxing and taekwondo. This session will raise fitness levels throughout the whole body
Step - Using simple moves that let you train at your own intensity. It features a mixture of cardiovascular training and muscle conditions to help tone and shape the whole body.
Boot Camp - an intense team building workout that incorporates body weight exercises, interval training and strength training. Flip tyres, hit the battle ropes and farmers walk yourself to a new level of fitness.
FTP Testing - FTP testing is paramount to get the most out of Spin classes at Runnymede. This is a maximal test on the bikes that will take your current fitness level. Your score will be a number that you enter into the bike before each spin class so you can follow the colours and different intensities in the class. We recommend you do this at least one every two months to see if you improve your fitness.
Step Combat - This is a new one – we have combined two of our most popular classes into one. Get the blast of cardio with step whilst learning new ways to kick and strike. It’s a short 30 minute class but expect to burn in excess of 300 Calories.
Pilates - Focus on building your body’s core strength and improving your posture through a series of low repetition low impact stretching and conditioning exercises. Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects posture, restores physical vitality and revives the mind.
Yoga - A spiritual and ascetic discipline, including breath control and simple meditation. If you’re looking to calm your mind and release your day to day worry, this is the class for you.
Active classes are aimed towards anyone looking to improve their health and wellbeing but with a more gentle approach than other classes designed for our senior customers and those just getting into fitness. Active Aerobics on Tuesday & Thursday morning at Waterside include one hour of table tennis / badminton.
Active Aerobics - A stimulating workout that combines mobility, aerobics, floor work and stretching and exercises.
Active Aqua - A stimulating workout that combines mobility, aerobics, stretching in the pool. This session includes one hours free swim at the end of the class.

Active Zumba - A spicy hot, hip swivelling workout where Latin dance moves are combined with aerobic movements to create a fun & effective workout.
Active Salsacise - If you love Zumba and Club Fit then salsa is for you. This is a great way to keep active with fun dance routines. Shake your waist and burn some calories with our trainers.
Aqua - A fun and invigorating all over body workout in the water that effectively burns calories with minimal impact. Great for those who are new or returning to exercise.
LES MILLS BODYPUMP - Is for anyone looking to get lean and toned. The original barbell class. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, Body Pump gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 590 calories.
LBT - Legs, Bums and Tums. A complete lower body workout for those problem areas using hand weights, steps and bands.
Circuits - Achieve a full body workout. Involving both cardiovascular and resistance exercises to motivating music to get you great results.
Kettle Bells - Kettle bells are a great way to help strengthen, tone and shape your body. Swinging movements that help improve your posture, lower body strength and power.
SYNRGY - SYNRGY classes are a great workout that combine functional exercises with every day movements. HIIT and weight loss are superb workouts which will leave you feeling fully worked. Our active classes are lower impact and less intense but you will still get a great workout.
CORE - Sculpt and tone your waist with challenging strength and balance work. You’ll feel the burn and get a flatter waist with this great workout.
THE WORKOUT - This is the next step in group exercise. The workout brings traditional gym training into a class environment. Whether its high explosive power work or high weight low reps strength work we have it covered in THE WORKOUT. You will get stronger, fitter and drop body fat in this class!
LES MILLS GRIT STRENGTH - GRIT STRENGTH focuses on full range of motion to build a strong athletic body.
SPRINT - Highly energetic with huge bursts of maximal speed, strength and power taking cardiovascular fitness to the next level. Minimum impact on joints with huge fat loss and afterburn effects.
HIITSTEP - is great to imrpove your fitness and youll be burning fat at a much quicker rate for up to 12 hours after the class. You will get your heart rate up through a range of moves using the step. A tough but great workout!
Zumba - A spicy hot, hip swivelling workout where Latin dance moves are combined with aerobic movements to create a fun & effective workout.
Club FIT - Have a a great time and dance your way to fitness with chart topping 90’s anthems! Shake and twist your body to lift your heart rate and burn fat.
