A key event in the local business calendar is the Castle Point Business Forum. The event is a local platform where our business community can discuss the issues that matter to them with the Council.  This year the event, held on the 19^th January, was hosted virtually for the first time and encouraged local business to consider the future of their business post Covid-19.  As part of this, businesses heard about the comprehensive range of business support available during these challenging times.

	The BEST Growth Hub provided insights on the support being given to local businesses as well as updates on the various business and financial support schemes available www.bestgrowthhub.org.uk
	Back to Business Essex (funded by Essex County Council) outlined their scheme to provide businesses with up to 12 hours of professional, one-to-one business advice and mentoring support to help them overcome the challenges of COVID-19 www.backtobusinessessex.co.uk

	USP College introduced details of the College’s new XTEND R&D Facility at The Canvey Skills Centre www.uspcollege.ac.uk
	ITEC Learning Technologies, the employer facing arm of USP College Group, presented solutions to support businesses transition into and continued development within the digital economy as well as strategies for sustainable workforce growth (such as Traineeships, Kickstart, Apprenticeships and Adult Skills retraining) www.itec.ac.uk / www.itec.ac.uk/employers
