Recognising Business Excellence in Castle Point

The Mayor of Castle Point is delighted to announce that the search is now officially on for the winners of the next Castle Point Mayor’s Business and Apprentice Awards for 2022.

Local businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves or others for the prestigious Business of the Year Award sponsored by the Federation of Small Businesses and the Apprentice of the Year Award sponsored by the Castle Point Business Forum.

The Awards provide an opportunity for local businesses to showcase their achievements and gain recognition in the local area. It is also a chance for the Borough to recognise and celebrate local businesses and their apprentices. 

Jade Uko, Essex Development Manager at the Federation of Small Businesses, said: “‘The FSB are committed to supporting small businesses in Castle Point and these awards help to celebrate and recognise the great work of local firms. We look forward to being inspired by some great applications and meeting winners at the events final”.

Announcing the launch of the 2022 awards, The Mayor, Councillor Pat Haunts, said: “The Castle Point Mayor’s Awards 2022 are an excellent opportunity to showcase the talented individuals and businesses we have in Castle Point. The last two years have been particularly challenging for many local businesses which makes these awards all the more deserving.  In line with this, I am particularly keen to hear from businesses that have successfully navigated the Covid-19 pandemic or pivoted their business”.

Finalists will be invited to attend a presentation reception with the Mayor in the Spring 2022 to celebrate their achievements.

Anyone can nominate a business and/or apprentice.  You can enter either or both categories and you can nominate your own business. To register your interest simply email: business@castlepoint.gov.uk
