The Mayor of Castle Point Borough Council, Cllr Pat Haunts, The Deputy Mayor, Cllr Jay Blissett and The Freeman of the Borough, Ray Howard MBE observed the 2-minute silence at 11am on Monday, 5 July, for the NHS Frontline and Social Care Workers Day – Thank you.

5th July 1948 was a historic moment in our country’s history.  It was the day our pioneering National Health Service (NHS) was born, bringing free healthcare to everyone.  The flag was raised at 10am and is seen flying proudly to mark the occasion.
