Earthquake donation hub set up in Knightswick Centre

A unit at the Knightswick Centre has been set aside by Castle Point Borough Council for the Canvey Rotary Club to launch a donation hub for Syria and Turkey. The Club is working with Ford Motor Company who will transport the items to the affected areas and Councillors who are supporting Club members at the shop covering shifts, collecting and sorting items donated.

President of Canvey Rotary Club, John Clarke said "We are grateful to the local authority for allowing us to launch a second donation hub after the success of our previous appeal for Ukraine. The shop, which you can find at the front of the Knightswick Centre on Furtherwick Road is open between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Saturday and 10 am until 4 pm on Sunday.

"The list of items requested includes detergent, soap, sanitary products, nappies, wipes, baby dry milk, sleeping bags, new underwear and sleeping bags. We appreciate the generosity of the Castle Point community and look forward to welcoming you to the hub."
