In line with social distancing advice and to protect residents and staff the Council has taken the decision to close the Council offices to the public until further notice.

Whilst the offices are closed to visitors, you are still able to access services and information from this website 24/7.

Verge Maintenance FAQ's

There is to damage to / ruts on the grass verge, can you repair this?

This is responsibility of Essex County Council, Highways Department. Please contact them on 0845 603 7631

Why are verge grass cuttings not cleared?

The Council’s policy is not to collect up grass cuttings from verges or parks. This is common practise throughout the Country.


When will the grass verge be cut?

We aim to cut the grass verges on a three week cycle, depending on the weather.
