Members no longer need to book Gym, Swimming and Sauna & Steam sessions. Non-members can still use the online booking system and Castle Point Leisure App to book. All Group Exercise Classes and Sports Hall activities will still need to be booked as normal.
Fire Exit Doors
During Covid restrictions we removed the alarms for the fire exit doors to make it safer for everyone to avoid unnecessary contact with others whilst walking through the building. We have kept this in place ever since. However, this has had an impact on how we operate our centres and has made it difficult for our staff to operate effectively. Therefore, we will be arming all fire exit doors with an alarm again from Monday 23rd May. Please make sure you use the main entrance and exit to enter and leave the building.

Wedding and Events Information
Runnymede Hall is licenced for weddings, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies. Runnymede Hall is located in the heart of Benfleet, with good access from the A13 and A127.
At Runnymede Hall we are able to accommodate small intimate weddings or large celebrations up to 230 dinner guests.
We hire the venue to you and we can introduce you to recommended, experienced wedding providers (for catering company, photography etc.) with whom you can decide and arrange all the bespoke requirements for your special day. (Payment is made direct to each provider.)
Our venue will give you the flexibility to use your own suppliers or have a package which we will fully take care of the whole day for you in partnership with our catering supplier.

The Booking Process
When you have booked your wedding, you must contact the Essex Registration Service to ensure the Registrars can attend your wedding on the date and time of your choice.
There are additional fees incurred for the use of registrars at the approved premise. These are to be paid separately to the Essex Registrars and are not included within your hire charges from us.
You can make a provisional booking for your Essex Register Office wedding up to twenty four months in advance. Just call or write to the office of your choice, and give as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment. You will also be required to pay £50.00 (non-refundable) which is taken off the total you need to pay.
