Castle Point Active has once again been recognised for its dedication to customer satisfaction, securing the Local Authority of the Year award for the seventh year running at the annual MEA Awards, in partnership with Fitronics.
The prestigious MEA Award is determined by comprehensive data and customer experience scores collected over a 12-month period, pitting Castle Point Active against hundreds of other sites nationally. This remarkable seven -year winning streak underscores the facility’s unwavering mission to place the customer experience at the forefront of its operations and demonstrate that it consistently goes above and beyond for its members.
Castle Point Active also celebrated being named a finalist in two categories at the highly competitive National Fitness Awards: Local Authority of the Year and South Centre of the Year.
Cllr Tom Gibson, Cabinet Member for Special Projects and Assets said: "To win the MEA Local Authority of the Year award for the seventh year in a row is an amazing achievement and a true testament to the daily hard work of the dedicated team. This award is particularly meaningful as it is driven by direct feedback from our customers, confirming that their efforts are to enhance community health and experience are hitting the mark."
The team noted that while they did not secure the top prize at the National Fitness Awards this year, the experience was valuable and they are committed to applying lessons learned to come back even stronger next year.
