Disabled Discount Property Adapted

If your home has certain features which are essential, or of major importance, to the well-being of a disabled adult or child who lives in your home you may be entitled to a discount.

You can receive:

  • a reduction of one band if you are in Band B to H
  • a reduction of 16.5% if you are in Band A

The features are:

  • a room (other than a bathroom, kitchen, or toilet) used mainly by the disabled person - for example, a dialysis/wheelchair storage room.
  • an additional bathroom or kitchen to meet the disabled person’s needs
  • extra space inside to allow for the use of wheelchair.
