Concord Beach
The ongoing revetment replacement works at Concord Beach are a crucial step in maintaining the integrity of the tidal defence.
Both tidal pools, including Concorde Beach, are closed until Spring 2025. We will not be replacing or improving the external structure of the existing tidal pools.
What are we doing with the sand from Concord Beach?
The sand will be temporarily removed and stored off-site in a secure location on the island. This measure is crucial to prevent any contamination or loss of sand during the construction phase. Once the revetment is restored and the area deemed safe, the sane will be replaced to its original position.
