We encourage filming and photography in the borough. We are well located, with good access to London by road and rail, and host a mixture of landscapes and visuals including coastal, seaside, semi-rural and industrial.
Some notable film and TV shows to have been filmed in Castle Point in recent years include Boudica: Queen of War, and Sky TV comedy Mr Big Stuff.
We work in partnership with the Essex Film Office, to make the process as smooth as possible for location scouts interested in filming in the borough. View the locations Castle Point have to offer on the Essex Film Office locations database.
To film on our property and land, you must complete the application form, and return it within 5 working days of the filming date. Depending on the scale of the production, applications may still be processed inside 5 days, but will charged a late notice fee.
Additional time should be accounted for if filming requires traffic management, parking, temporary structures or use of drones – ask for details.
