Emergency Plans

The Council maintains a series of emergency plans to assist staff and provide guidance in emergency situations. These plans detail the procedures that are required to help ensure that the Council provides an efficient, effective and proportionate response alongside the emergency services and other partner agencies.

The Council has made a number of emergency plans available to view for the public. However, please note, any personal or sensitive information has been removed for data protection purposes.

(Further plans will be made available following the next review of each document)

Emergency plans for COMAH sites are not currently available for public viewing. This is a decision taken by the Site Operators and Essex County Council, who are the plan owners. Further information about the COMAH sites within the Borough can be found here. Major Industrial Accidents
