I can only visit Woodside Cemetery after I finish work, is it possible for me to have keys to the gates?
No. Keys are no longer given to the members of the public as there were several instances of other visitors being locked in. However, the Cemetery is open until 6:00pm (from the Pedestrian Gate).
I want to report an overgrown / damaged tree in an open space in the Borough

I would like to inform you about a tree that needs pruning in St Katherine's Churchyard, Canvey Island.
The Council is not responsible for maintaining trees in Churchyards. Please contact Sheila Powell on 01268 511098 for matters relating to trees in St Katherine’s Churchyard. Sheila is the Parish Secretary and is based at St Nicholas Church, Canvey Island.
I would like to inform you about the overgrown grass in St Katherine's Churchyard, Canvey Island.
Maintenance of the grounds within St Katherine’s Churchyard is the responsibility of this Council. Please contact us (including your name, telephone number and a description of the location in question) info@castlepoint.gov.uk, or telephone us on 01268 882200.

Is St Katherine's a Church?
No. St Katherine’s is an old disused Church which is now a Heritage Centre hosting arts, crafts, photography and occasionally holding exhibitions.
If you require further information please contact Rosemary de Boise on 01268 694317. Rosemary is responsible for matters relating to the Heritage Centre.
Where is South Benfleet Cemetery situated?
South Benfleet Cemetery is situated on the junction of High Road and Jotmans Lane, Benfleet. However, if you have any other enquiries, Basildon District Council deal with these on our behalf. Please email cemeteries@basildon.gov.uk
