IT Services

The ICT Services Unit acts as the interface between system users and the Council's external IT contract provider Capita.

The IT contract was awarded to Capita on 1 October 2012 for an initial period of 5 years. All of the Council's IT and voice requirements are provided for within the Contract.

The purpose of the ICT services unit is to enable the planning, specification, acquisition, implementation and use of IT equipment, systems and services in order to help services achieve their business objectives.

The council currently uses HP desktop and servers which are purchased through a joint EOLP procurement contract.
