A submission can be made in writing to Castle Point Borough Council by post or email to licensing@castlepoint.gov.uk . If submitted electronically we do not require a handwritten signature as your electronic submission will be acceptable.

The representation needs to be relevant to one or more of the four licensing objectives which are:

Anyone submitting a representation can request that their representation to the licensing authority is submitted on their behalf by a landlord, legal representative, a friend, an MP, a Councillor or similar. If you do wish someone to act on your behalf please provide their contact details.

The Authority must give a copy of any representation you submit to the applicant. By submitting a representation you agree to the information in relation to the licensing objectives that you have commented on, together with any additional sheets, being copied to the applicant.

If the application goes to a Sub-committee hearing for a determination, your representation will be published on the Council’s website. With agenda papers for the relevant Sub-committee hearing convened to consider the representation/s. You will be invited to attend the hearing and may speak about your representation should you wish to do so.
