Castle Point Borough Council wins award for commitment to animal welfare

Castle Point Borough Council is proud to announce it has received a silver award in the animal licensing category of the RSPCA PawPrints Awards 2025. This honour recognises excellence in animal activity licensing and delivering high standards of animal welfare.
The Council’s Environmental Health team plays a vital role in inspecting and licensing a wide range of organisations, including pet shops, boarding kennels, catteries, home dog boarding services, dog day care centres, dog breeding and horse riding establishments.
Cllr Russ Savage, Portfolio Holder for People & Communities said: “We are delighted to receive this award, which reflects the dedication of our staff in the Environmental Health team. Animal welfare is at the heart of what we do and we’re proud to be setting high standards in animal licensing.”
