Community groups invited to apply for Community Grants funding

Local community groups in Castle Point have a fantastic opportunity to secure funding for their projects, thanks to Castle Point Borough Council’s Community Grants Scheme.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available for voluntary, community, and not-for-profit organisations delivering projects between 1 August 2025 and 31 March 2026.
The scheme is funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. It aims to support community-led activities that enhance inclusivity, strengthen community cohesion and improve resident wellbeing. Funding is available for both revenue and capital projects that bring direct benefits to Castle Point residents.
This year, applications from Benfleet, Hadleigh, Thundersley, and Daws Heath will be prioritised, as fewer applications were received from these areas in previous rounds.
Councillor Tom Gibson, Castle Point Borough Council’s Portfolio Holder for Special Projects & Assets said: "We are committed to supporting local organisations that make a real difference in our community. The Community Grants Scheme provides vital funding to help groups continue their incredible work, bringing people together and improving lives. We encourage organisations to apply and take advantage of this opportunity."
Applications are open now and must be submitted by 11 July 2025. Full guidance on how to apply, along with the application form, is available on our UKSPF page.
