While the team did not secure a win at the awards ceremony in Leicester on the 28 November, reaching the final in both categories is a major accomplishment, especially given the record amount of entries to the awards this year.

Waterside Farm Leisure Centre boasts an incredible track record at the National Fitness Awards. Since 2019, the Centre has won three awards including the Team of the Year and the South Region Centre of the year on two occasions and been named a finalist on five separate occasions.

Cllr Tom Gibson, Portfolio holder for Assets and Special Projects said: “Although we didn’t take home a trophy this year, the entire team at Castle Point Active should be immensely proud. Being named a finalist in two categories out of hundreds of applicants is a huge testament to the dedication and hard work of our staff and the support of our wonderful community. These continuous achievements at the awards in recent years make it clear that Waterside Farm Leisure Centre consistently operates at the highest level and we should be proud to have it in our community. Well done to all the staff and the fantastic customers who make the centre what it is today.”
