Amusement with prizes

If you have 3 or more machines you will need to apply for a Licensed Premises machine permit, If you have 1or 2 category C or D machines you will need to inform the Licensing Department in writing of you intention to have 1 or 2 machines and intend to take advantage of the automatic entitlement under the Gambling Act 2005.
 
Club machine permits must be applied for in advance, payments and forms must be submitted during the period beginning three months before it expires and ending six weeks before it expires.
 
There is an annual fee  due within 30 days of the grant of the permit and then annually on the anniversary of the grant of the permit. Should an Operator at any time fail to pay the annual fee, the Council can cancel the permit and they will need to reapply as a new Operator.

Transfers

These permits can be transferred when the premises licence is transferred, although if you transfer a premises licence into your name and the premises have 1 or 2 machines you will have to re-notify the Licensing Department in writing that you have 1 or 2 machines and  intend to take advantage of the automatic entitlement under the Gambling Act 2005.
