Canvey Island Winter Gardens by-election

Due to a casual vacancy occurring in the Canvey Island Winter Gardens Ward for both the Castle Borough Council and the Canvey Island Town Council a by-election will be held for each vacant seat. 

Following changes to the borough council ward boundaries in 2024 the Canvey Island Winter Gardens Ward boundary is no longer the same for the borough and town councils. Further details are set out below.

Castle Point Borough Council Election

The Canvey Island Winter Gardens borough council election is taking place on Thursday 29 May 2025. The ward boundary includes polling districts AK2, AS1, AU1, AU2, AV1, AV2.

Canvey Island Town Council Election

The Canvey Island Winter Gardens town council ward boundary includes polling districts AU1, AU2, AV1, AV2.  Further information will appear in due course.
