You need to register to vote before you can vote in UK Elections and Referendums.

You can register online at Register to Vote | GOV.UK

You are responsible for registering yourself and you need to provide your National Insurance Number and Date of Birth when registering.  This makes the electoral register more secure.

How to Register

  1. Go to Register to Vote | GOV.UK
  2. Fill in your name, address, date of birth and a few other details. You'll also need your national insurance number, which can be found on your national insurance card, or in official paperwork such as payslips, or letters about benefits, tax credits or pensions.

Please make sure you provide an email address or telephone number when registering, should we need to contact you regarding any queries.

If you provide your email address or telephone number we will communicate with you via this method.
