You need to register to vote before you can vote in UK Elections and Referendums.

Each Individual is responsible for registering themselves and you need to provide your National Insurance Number and Date of Birth when registering.  This makes the electoral register more secure.

How to Register

  1. Go to
  2. Fill in your name, address, date of birth and a few other details. You'll also need your national insurance number, which can be found on your national insurance card, or in official paperwork such as payslips, or letters about benefits, tax credits or pensions.
  3. Please note that we currently have limited access to our offices.  To prevent any delay in your registration please provide an email address or telephone number when registering so that if we need to we can contact you regarding any queries.
  4. If you provide your email address or telephone number we will communicate with you via this method.
