Annual Statement of Accounts
The Council prepares a full annual statement of accounts for each financial year. This is required to be independently audited to ensure that the Council has undertaken suitable arrangements for the proper administration of its financial affairs.
In addition the Council prepares a short summary accounts document each year. This document reproduces key figures from the full statement of accounts in a simplified form, such as the amounts received and spent by the Council each year, and the value of the Council's assets on its Balance Sheet.
