B&B Approved List

How does the Council decide which B&B’s it will use to accommodate Homeless people?

The Housing Options Service is required to draw up an Approved List of Bed and Breakfast Providers in Castle Point and surrounding areas which are used to provide ad hoc temporary accommodation for homeless people.

To go onto this list Providers must be able to show adequate financial standing as well as technical capacity to provide the service appropriately. They are asked to sign up to a Service Level Agreement which sets out certain standards we require from the Provider and are required to provide evidence to prove that they meet these standards.
