Refuse/Recycling collections will be one day late on the week of 6 May due to the bank holiday. Please present your waste before 7am one day later than your usual collection day. Please note: this does not affect country round residents

Dog Fouling

If you are a dog owner or in charge of a dog, it is your responsibility to clean up after your dog.

If there are dog waste bins and litter bins along your dog walking route, please use them. Alternatively, clean up your dog waste and take it home with you to dispose of.

Warning: contact with canine excrement can lead to blindness due to an infection called ’Toxocara canis’.

Public Space Protection Order

A borough-wide Public Spaces Protection Order is in effect, meaning that any person not picking up after their dog could be fined up to a maximum of £1000. Council Officers are authorised to serve Fixed Penalty Notices of £100 to offenders.

The Order applies to all land in the Borough on which the public are entitled or permitted to have access to with or without payment.
