The Royal British Legion Hadleigh and Thundersley branch Poppy Appeal 2015

On the launch of the 2015 Poppy Appeal the Hadleigh and Thundersley Branch of The Royal British Legion wish to thank the generous members of the public and local businesses who lent their support to last years Appeal raising a fantastic total of £35,706.73.

It is this generosity from the British public which enabled the Legion to answer over 450,000 calls for help in the last year. All the money raised from the Poppy Appeal goes towards the Legion’s work with current Serving personnel, veterans and their families, including innovative dementia care, theatre recovery projects, world-leading research on blast injury studies, and Legion owned seaside break centres.

As the branch members embark on this years 2015 Poppy Appeal they are asking for assistance with collections which commence on the 31st October until the 7th November.

Anyone who is keen to be involved is encouraged to get in touch. All that is needed is an hour or two of your time and there are number of different ways you can help.

Stephen Cowland (Branch Chairman) said “We are a small branch and new members are always welcome but you do not have to be a member to volunteer to help with the Poppy Appeal.”

Membership of The Royal British Legion is open to all and costs jus £16 a year.
